The Dinah Molloy Scholarship
Dinah Molloy was a resident of Kilmore Quay. She was a scientist and musician with a large portfolio of different areas that she was involved in throughout her life, from the Apollo moon missions to climate analysis work to name but a couple. She was also an accomplished musician. Dinah visited the Kilmore area regularly and came to reside in her thatched cottage in Nemestown. She lent her support in many ways to the local community.
On her death in 2019, she left funding in the form of a bursary. The Kilmore Quay Community Development Association was tasked with donating the funds in a manner that would best honour her memory. Bridgetown College is privileged to be able to offer this Scholarship as a result of the generous bursary grant awarded to the school to honour her accomplishments and memory. The scholarship is to be awarded to students following studies in the areas of science, environment, or music.
