Exchange visits with Poland and France
Erasmus + Project with Jagiellonka in Plock, Poland
Bridgetown College welcomed a group of twelve students and two teachers from Jagiellonka, in Plock, Poland from 28th February to 8th March 2024. This was the return visit as a group from Bridgetown had visited Poland in December 2023. We were delighted to welcome our Polish friends, and treated them to an Irish Breakfast, tours of our village, Wexford town – including an historical walking tour, and a visit to Johnstown Castle. Waterford Walls and the Museum of Time was also on the agenda. As the theme of the Erasmus+ Project was Wellbeing, we had a Yoga Workshop, Irish music and dancing and a Gaelic Games taster event. The students made lasting friendships and links with their guests, and some are planning a return trip to Poland in the future.

Annual Dunkirk Exchange Trip
Bridgetown College welcomed a group of students with their teachers from Dunkirk in early March. They were also hosted by our students and welcomed wholeheartedly into our school community. They experienced Irish music and culture with workshops generously provided by our teachers and with visits to Johnstown Castle, Kilmore Quay Lifeboat, and the Wexford County Council Offices to name but a few. They also experienced the diversity of our beautiful coastline with a Rockpooling workshop and an Environmental talk on the Dunes.
Bridgetown College looks forward to developing both our Erasmus Plus Projects and our links with Dunkirk in the future, and to enjoying many wonderful visits and new friendships.
