On Sunday the 9th of September the Bridgetown/St Peters open showjumping team competed in the interschools showjumping event at Wexford Equestrian. The team consisted of Tyra Brennan Roche, Rian Carroll, Darren Moore and Michael Cullen from St Peters, who helped us make up a team of four. Bridgetown was one of three teams to finish on zero faults and make it through to an exciting jump off. Rian and Darren jumped off against the clock for Bridgetown but unluckily both had a fence down. We finished in third place, just behind Loreto Wexford, with Newbridge winning.

The team also won Best Turned Out. They were the only team to plait all their horses, so well done to them for making the effort. The team hopes to continue their good form at the next competition.

Naoise Ward competed in the 1.10m Horse Sport Ireland qualifier and came 6th. She has now qualified for the final.

Also, well done to Olivea Rankin who competed successfully in the novice individual competition.
